What to put on your class site

Information about your school. You should include the goals and mission of your school, as well as your personal teaching philosophy, and details such as directions to your school.

Kids' work.  This is a great opportunity for kids to create something that the world will see.  Let everyone publish their work, not just the best examples, and begin to create an online portfolio for your students.

What's going on?  List upcoming school activities and classroom happenings so parents can share in their child's experiences.

Resources for parents/students.  Whether it be holiday calendars, lunch room menus or disciplinary policies, make your class site a wealth of resources and information.

Resources for the education community.  The Web is a great way to give back to fellow teachers.  Post lesson plans, share creative craft projects or create an online pen-pal program. Your class site will be essential in sharing information with other educators.
